DREAMSCAPE:

Dreamscape is a creative and architectural focused design challenge where student teams create original lands for a park built around the central theme of the UNREAL, a world where the boundaries of reality are pushed, bent, and broken.

Our team developed a time warped land, sending guests into a reality where timelines have collided. The land features a thrilling time-travel rollercoaster through a futuristic city, and a drop tower sending guest to explore ancient ruins, dinosaurs, and historical moments in time. The land features unique shops and dining experiences to transport our guest through time.

Project Overview and Features:

The Land is divided into three distinct zones that immerse guests in a fractured timeline on the verge of collapse. On one side stands a towering, high-tech industrial city controlled by a time-governing corporation, home to the main attraction TBD. Opposite it lies a rebel outpost built from salvaged tech, centered around a crash-landed time machine that launches guests into TBD, a chaotic fall through history. Hidden between the two is a neutral zone tucked inside an abandoned mining site, an underground time market where travelers from all eras cross paths in secret.

Attractions:

TBD (Launch Coaster)
A roller coaster races through a futuristic industrial city, weaving between skyscrapers and collapsing structures as guests try to escape a time factory.
TBD (Drop Tower)
Guests team up with rebel time travelers and plummet through unstable time zones, from prehistoric jungles to cyberpunk futures. Each drop triggers a randomized timeline, creating a unique ride experience every time.

Dining:

The Time Cafe
A futuristic cafe offering quick bites and beverages with ambient time loop effects. Guests may see brief flashes of different decades as they dine.
TBD (Industrial Restaurant)
A large, steampunk-inspired industrial dining space offering cross-era cuisine in a factory environment. Exposed piping, kinetic sculptures, and flickering timeline glitches set the scene.
TBD (Outdoor Dining)
A peaceful nature-focused dining area that reflects a possible future where nature reclaims time. Organic architecture and soft audio loops of forest sounds create a serene escape from the chaos of the land.
The Pub
A rebel hideout themed as a time travel outpost. Aged wood, flickering screens, and worn tools line the walls. Guests can grab drinks and overhear chatter from rogue travelers trying to restore OR destroy the timeline.

Retail:

TBD (industrial shop)
A rugged industrial retail space offering time-traveler gear, steampunk accessories, and branded land merchandise.
Time Marketplace
An immersive shopping alley tucked in between an old mining site serving as a "black market" time relics, glowing artifacts, and interactive storytelling elements.

Land Layout & Zoning

-Helped design the spatial organization of the land, dividing it into three key zones: the industrial city, rebel outpost, and hidden underground market.

-Placed major attractions, dining, and retail locations to enhance guest immersion while maintaining narrative continuity and clear thematic transitions.

-Integrated practical design features including guest pathways, entry points, and backstage locations to support operational feasibility and park standards.

-Used AutoCAD to develop accurate land footprints, placing queue lines, building envelopes, and ride entrances with guest flow and visibility in mind.

Scale Model Development

-Assisted in the creation of the physical scale model, translating CAD layouts into dimensional terrain and structures
